[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It may be a bit disrespectful to call this splendid building a garage, but that is basically what it is. Inside is kept the funeral chariot that carried the late Laotian king Sisavong Vang in 1960.
This building in the city of Luang Prabang is found in the compound of Wat Xieng Thong, the Buddhist pagoda I showed here yesterday.
The picture was taken in 1973 and is scanned from a Kodachrome slide. The camera I used at that time was a Canon FT-QL.

Hello Gert,
again a nice colourful shot! The "garage" of yellow-golden colour looks very grand against the amazingly blue sky, and the palm-trees are a very good "natural" framing :) The red flowers are a nice addition to the reddish parts of the "garage".

Bonjour Gert,
Une très belle architecture que tu nous présentes là ! Evidemment le scan n'a pas restitué complètement les valeurs dans le sombre en particulier sur la droite de l'image. C'est dommage car c'est une bien belle image.

Great architecture, with the typical details for the region!
Impressive deco work, I cannot even imagine the amount of labour put into this...
Fine point of view and a well balanced composition, however what is most impressive are the colours after 35 years, you certainly keep your slides like they should be stored!

Also one of the best photos on TE of this building! A very good scan, but these funny "halo" formations around the darker areas.
